Willie "Coonie" Carter

It’s never easy saying goodbye.

I, Willie James Carter, was born on July 19, 1963, in Miami, Florida to my parents the late Tommy Lee Carter Sr. and Lola Mae Green who proceeded me in death.  I, Willie James Carter, am affectionately known to many as COONIE, I am a huge fan of the Miami Hurricanes. I loved to fish and ride my four wheelers.

As my name was called on May 22, 2022, at North Florida Regional, I began to think about my family and friends that I will leave behind.  My Devoted Wife, Elsie Carter; My only Son, Breghon Carter; My two Daughters, Tiara Edmond Carter(John) and Shantavia Walker Williams (Damyan); My Godmother, Helen Edmond; My God children, Katrise Kirkland, Arille Buggs,  Jada Walker, Kinzie Thomas, Kiziyah Thomas; My Grandchildren, Shaniya Sutton, Ja’Nasia Bull; My Sisters, Gloria Butler (Neal), Jackie Davis, Ethel Mae Carter (Lorriane), Patricia Copeland; My Brothers, Freddy Copeland, Wilbert Carter ”Lucky”, Eugene Carter “PeeWee” (Charmaine), Anthony Copeland, Curtis Copeland, Kenny Copeland, Willie M Carter, Rubin Jerrio; My Brothers-in-law, Lonnie Harris Sr. (Armelia), Terry Harris (Theodoshia), Kerry Harris (Kutura), Leonard Simpson (Angelia), Tony Harris (Bobbie), Omar Harris, Roderick Robinson (Grace);  My Sisters-in-law, Shronda Wilson (Clarence), Florence Carter A.K.A Momma; My Special Niece, Constance Carter; My Special Nephew, Michael Carter; My Three Special Friends, Earl Aikens (Daphne), Joseph Burnett, Dennis Walker; 

My siblings who proceeded me in death are Ruby Jewel Carter, Shirley Carter, Charlie James Copeland, Horace Carter and Albert Copeland Sr. .
