Victoria Ernestine (Vicky) Floyd passed away Sunday, March 23,2025 at her residence in Micanopy, FL. She was born in 1961 to Frank Washington and Christine Floyd

Vicky grew up in Johnson, FL. Where She was raised in the care of her Stepfather Thomas Lee Young Sr. and Mother Christine Young and graduated in 1979 from Interlachen High School where she excelled academically throughout her educational Career. She was a presidential Scholar recipient and graduated with high honors. Upon high school graduation, she enlisted in The United States Army where she served for 23yrs. (CW3) Being a woman in a leadership position in the military was often rewarding, and Humbling. During her time in the Army She met and Married Gilbert Jones Sr, and together their union added a son Gilbert Jones Jr. Who preceded her in death. Vicky returned, after retirement from the military, back to Micanopy, Fl. Where She met and married Roderick White (former Spouse). Vicky's transition to civilian employment included working for The Department of Veteran Affairs Where she retired. She had Often Called the Key to unlocking one's full potential is the power of education, and she Continued her pursuit of Knowledge, and her unwavering Commitment to earning a Master's Degree in Business. Vicky was an active member of St. Paul Church, and her community, her involvement was driven by a genuine desire to contribute and make a difference, she was known for her generosity in life, and her radiant Smile that lit up any room.

Though Vicky may be gone from our presence she will forever be remembered by her Father: Frank Washington (Dorothy) of Gainesville, FL; Mother: Christine Floyd of Gainesville, FL; 5 Siblings: Thomas Young, Jr. of Johnson, FL, Lisa Wallace (Robert) of Micanopy, FL, Jerry Young of Micanopy, FL, Therasa Douglas of Gainesville, FL, Renee Rudolph (Jerell) of Port Richey, FL; 2 Uncles: Robert Floyd (Fannie) of Micanopy, FL, Bruce Young (Harriet) of Johnson, FL; 2 Aunts: Diotha Bell (Christopher) of Gainesville, FL, Gladys Hill (Calvin) of Gainesville, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins who are resting in Heaven.
