Thelma Williams Obituary

Minister Thelma Williams was a resident of Gainesville Fl. She passed away surrounded by her family on April 29th 2021.

Thelma Hampton Williams was born in High Springs, Florida on January 1, 1965 to Mrs. Velma J. Hampton and Mr. Archie Hampton, Sr.She graduated from Santa Fe High School (Alachua, FL) in 1983. She was employed with Shands Hospital at the University of Florida and attended Summit Salon Academy until she became ill in 2012.During her childhood years she attended Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Thelma received the baptism of the Holy Spirit when she was in the 10th grade. Thelma faithfully served as an Ordained Minister at Fountain of Restoration International Ministries, under the Leadership of Apostle Carolyn Little. Thelma was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Anthony L. Williams on September 6, 2008. During this union they enjoyed life together as they loved, cherished, and supported one another in everything.  She enjoyed Praise and Worship, Ministering to others, Journaling, Shopping, and most of all spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends. On Thursday April 29, 2021, our good and faithful warrior completed her persevering journey on this side. Though Thelma’s health was failing, her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through. It would be wrong to say Thelma lost her battle because she never stopped fighting.  Her body may have been tired, but Thelma always remained spiritually determined to finish her course with Christ Jesus. Through her strength and confidence, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like. There was no quitting or giving up in Thelma. Her forever memories will continue to live through the hearts of her Loving Husband: Anthony L. Williams; Sons: Clarence L. Watts, Jr. (Shedavia T.), Clayton L. Watts; Stepdaughter: Dejanee Williams; Two Precious Granddaughters: Caleah and Kamaree Watts. Her Devoted Parents: Archie Hampton, Sr., and Velma J. Hampton.
