Forever in Our Hearts Life Celebration of Patricia Ann Mathis Ms. Patricia Ann Mathis was born May 14, 1962, in Augusta, Georgia. She was the first child born to Willie and Sarah Brown. During her early years, she attended Bronson Middle/High School, in Bronson, Florida. Those who loved and knew Patricia well, called her Pat. Patricia was a genuine and loving person, one who was loved and adored by many. Through her actions, Patricia showed how much she loved her family and friends, with her frequent visits, calls, and messages of love. She would travel miles to see a family or friend in need to bring joy and put smile on their face. She never ended a conversation without saying "I Love You". She was compassionate and brought joy to each person that she came in contact with. Patricia was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant over 25 years, where she provided legendary care to those assigned to her. Later Patricia was employed as the lead cashier, and cook at the Petro Truck Stop. At the Petro, she continued to spread love to all who enjoyed her cooking, her infectious laugh, and beautiful smile. In her leisure time, she enjoyed styling her friends with the latest hair trends and fashions. She was a natural fashionista. On Friday, July 17, 2020, Patricia transitioned from this earthly life to a place of rest. She is preceded in death by her daughter Tara Dukes, her mother Sarah Lockhart-Brown, her brothers Lawrence Brown, and Ricky Brown, grandparents: Carrie Goldwire, Oliver Brown Sr., Gus Lockhart and Naomi Lockhart. She leaves cherished memories to her father Willie Brown Sr. of Gainesville, FL, her loving children: Audrey Mathis, Gainesville, FL, Arthur Mathis III, Michelle James (Antonio), and Jerricka Little all of Ocala, FL. Two sisters: Linda Brown and LaShaunna Stewart of Gainesville, FL. Two brothers: Willie Brown Jr. (Jeryl) of Trenton, FL, and Joseph Brown of Gainesville, FL. Grandchildren: Savon Jones, Artavis Clark, Zyneisha Clark, Leondre Waters, James Lawry, Katrina Mathis, Onkeria James, Cheltonia James, Antonia James, and Antonio James Jr. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. View will be held on July 31, 2020 between the hours of 3pm.- 7pm at Dwilliams Mortuary Services,LLC in The Clarence William III Viewing Room. Services will be held on August 1, 2020 @ 11:00 am at The Jim Milton Cemetery in Bronson, Florida.We strictly enforce COVID-19 precautions.
