John E. Blair Sr.

John Edward Blair peacefully transitioned after a brief illness at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL, Sunday, March 09, 2025. He was a, loving father, wonderful brother, uncle and friend.  John received Christ in his life at a young age and became a member of Mt Zura Full Gospel Baptist Church.

John Blair Sr. entered this earthly realm at Alachua General Hospital in 1958. He departed this earthly realm on March 9th, 2025. John graduated from Newberry High School and worked as a Groundskeeper at the University of Florida. John was preceded in death by his mother Gwendolyn Blair Larkin Sister Evangelist Bonnie Blair; Brother. Lemuel Larkin.

His memories will live on in the hearts of his son, John Edward (Diamond) Blair Jr. and Father Deacon Tony J. Larkin, Sr. Sisters: Joy (Otto) Ingram Loria (Ozell) Parker, Patrina (Bruce) Woods, Vienderae (Esau) Durant, Sherilynn Larkin, Newberry FL. Natalie Larkin and Tasha Rowe, Gainesville FL. God sister Johnnie Mae(Ulysses)Garrison Newberry, Fl. Brothers: Tony Larkin Jr. and Ronald Mells. Four Grandchildren: Zaharra Blair, Jamarrion Blair, Jaden Ross and JaVeah Garrison many nieces and nephews' cousins, and close friends. Special friend Judy Williams.
