THE BIRTH OF A BLESSING: Harriet was born on May 9, 1956, in Old Town, Florida (Blackjack) to Ralph P. Jones and the late Bessie L. Jones BEING A BLESSING: Harriet Lived in Old Town, Fl. all of her life. She was a dedicated member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Old Town, Fl. for over 40 years. She graduated from Dixie County High School "Class of 1978". She attended Lake City Community College and the University of Florida with several Degrees. She studied Criminal Justice Standards and Training, Associate of Science in Corrections, and Also, she completed a Course in Patient Care Assistant. She was employed as a Vocational Food Service Coordinator. Lancaster Department of Correction, for over 10 years. She was very dedicated to anything that had her name on it and a hard worker. She loved helping people no matter where or who you were. She didn't mind giving her advice or opinion. She was just always willing to help better people. Plus, she was a fierce and dedicated Mother and Grandmother who loved herself some Church, the Casino, her plum lipstick and her loving family! FOREVER A BLESSING: Harriet leaves her Loving family to cherish her memories: her two daughters: Lavon Evet Jones of Old Town, Fl. and Shavon Yvette Jones of Gainesville, Fl.; Two grand-children: Leyuna L. Johnson and Xavier K. Johnson; and One adopted grand-daughter: Tziyana Rivera. Three sisters: Joyce A. Jones of Cross City, Fl.; Ethel M. Jones of Old Town, Fl.; Kay Henderson (Joseph) of Cross City, Fl. Her three Brothers: Ralph Jones Jr. ( Tina) of Old Town, Fl., Karl Jones (Glenda) of Cross City, Fl., Curtis Davis (Tiffany) of Cross City, Fl.; Her sister in love: Georgia Jones of Cross City, Fl. Six Aunts: Claudia M. Hall (Leroy) of Brewton, Alabama, Idella William of New Jersey, Armenda Washington of Cross City, Fl., Gearldine Hartsfield of Cross City, Fl. Earha Brook of Mt. Dora, Fl., Cortha Harrison (Peco) of Orlando, Fl.; Two Uncles; Marcellous Dawson of Cross City, Fl and Harrison Glen of Old Town, Fl.; Her God-son: Richard Bowers and Her special Nephew Kinyen Collins and Her special Friend: carmen Oliver. She was a very dedicated Auntie to her Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and Friends. Those who proceeded her in death; Her Grandparents: Hillary & Lula Hebert, James, and Emma Glenn. Her Brothers; earl jones, Willie Ray Jones; Her sister Emma Jones and her special Nephew Brandon Nelson.
