CARNEGIE, Doris Bernice, age 88, of 5890 NE 164th Terrace, Williston, Florida 32696, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. She is predeceased in life by her former husband, Joseph Carnegie; her father: Charlie James Moody; her mother: Lois Mae Simpson; and two sisters: Janet Williams and Carolyn Graham. She leaves behind one brother: Daniel Jefferson; one sister: Francis Johnson; and four children, two sons: Lawrence (Sandy) and Joseph Carnegie Jr. (Pamela); and two daughters: Pamela Lightbourne (Anthony Sr.) and Natalie Carnegie (Michael). Her children blessed her with nine grandchildren: Jessica and Jackie Carnegie; Anishka Davis (Darrell Sr.), Anthony Lightbourne Jr. (Chrysten), and Andre Lightbourne; Sade and Joseph Lawrence Carnegie, Dave Monroe (Tylisha), and Montel Howard. She was blessed with eight great grandchildren: Laeyla Marie Rodney-Tyler; Delaina and Darrell Davis Jr.; Anayah, Anthony III, and Ann Renee Lightbourne; Josiah Carnegie; Davia Monroe; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Carnegie retired in 1985 as a State of Virginia Occupational Therapists. She resided in Peterburg, VA, for 55 years where she was a member of the Third Baptist Church. Later she became a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Williston, Florida.
Graveside Celebration of her life will begin on Saturday, August 14,2021, with a 10 a.m. viewing followed by an 11 a.m service at the New Hope Cemetery (Williston Florida).
