Darius Merret Obituary

Darius Merrett was born in Augusta, GA. Darius relocated to Orlando, FL with his mother at the age of 4 and remained there until he was 18 and they moved
to Kansas City, MO.After High School, life took a slight detour for Darius and he ended up meeting Jazmine Blackwell and staying in Kansas City to start a family. While in Kansas City Darius worked for Haldex where he enjoyed using his hands to make air brakes. Darius loved to read, hike, he loved exotic fish and spent hours putting together their aquariums, play basketball with his son and having Bible Study Sessions with his older brother Willie S. Freeman. Darius was a loving
person and touched so many people’s lives throughout his journey in life. In October of 2023, Darius moved to Houston, Texas with his mother Denese Freeman where
he was planning to further his education at Houston Community College in January of 2025 to major in Robotics. On Thursday November 14, 2024, God called out to Darius to join him in paradise and Darius answered the call. His Maternal Grandmother Idella Willams (Walter Williams), Maternal Grandfather Willie James
