Gone but never forgotten Cora Lee Powell August 2, 1942 - July 20, 2019
In Loving Remembrance Of Mother Cora Lee Powell A Time to be Born: Mrs. Cora Powell was born to the late Gertrude Hunter-Donaldson and Frank Donaldson Sr. on August 2, 1942, in Chiefland (Sumner) Florida. A Time to be Educated: Mrs. Cora attended Chiefland Public Schools. A Time to be Married: Mrs. Cora was joined in holy matrimony to Ernest William Powell Sr. on May 14, 1957. A Time for Work, Leisure, and Ministry: Mrs. Cora, an industrious & powerful homemaker, A domestic servant in which she avidly enjoyed cooking, sewing, ironing, praying, singing, reading, and crossword puzzles. She also loved her family, community, and church dearly. She dedicated her life to the Lord early on in the '70s at First Assembly Holiness Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Richard Lee Jones Sr. During the span of her life, she served as Missionary and Deaconess at the COGIC in Chiefland, FL. Mrs. Cora, while laboring in the vineyard served as the church Mother at The Potter's House Kingdom International Ministries in Chiefland, FL. Mother Powell is the epitome of the Proverbs 31 virtuous woman. A Time to Depart: On July 20, 2019, Mother Powell was divinely appointed to her final resting place.
