Arthur James Smith

Arthur James Smith of Gainesville, Florida passed away on January 31, 2022.  Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Willie Mae Grimmage Smith.  Arthur retired from the Alachua county school board and was known for Fishing and  He leaves to cherish his memories his children; Albert Smith, Mae Helen Gaskins, Evelyn Orozco, Darrell Smith, Vanessa Smith, and Arthur James Jr. He was preceded in death by 2 Daughters Debra and Sharon Smith and a son Michael Smith.  Mr. Smith’s  viewing will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 in the Clarence Williams III Viewing Room at D. Williams Mortuary Services, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grass Lawn Cemetery off of Northwest 13th Street in Gainesville.
