Armanda was born September 13,1933 in Old town, Fl. To the late
Charlie Dawson and the late Emma Glenn. Armanda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she was educated at Dixie County Training School after graduating she then moved to Leesburg, Fla. Shortly after she returned to Old Town, Fl where she begins to work as cook and raised her family. She was then employed by Anderson Elementary Cafeteria where she retired in 1995. Armanda also was a member of The Picken Temple United Methodist Church she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Armanda Hobbies were basketball, cooking, going to church and enjoying watching her Children participate in sports. Armanda was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Dawson, mother Emma Glenn, Stepfather James Glenn, daughter Jeanette Washington, brother’s Ralph Jones SR, Marcellus Dawson, Luther Taylor, Sister’s Arlene Jones, Idella Williams, Geraldine Hartsfield, Gloria Williams, Coreatha Harrison, she fought a long and hard fight she knew we needed he, but we also realized that the Lord needed you more:” In the heart of those who loved you, you will always be there. As you were, you will always be treasured forever in our memory.” “We will keep in our hearts the love of the past, for there it was planted forever to last.” Your presence we miss, your memory we treasure, loving you always.
Armanda Washington was called to her heavenly home on Friday. February 2nd, 2024, at the age of 90.
She is survived by her children Linda Johnson {Edward} Debra Walker {Willie} Mark Washington, Anthony Washington, Gary Washington, {Alisa} Darryl Washington {Natalie} Scotty Washington, Juan Washington {Kinisha} Brother James Glenn, Sister Eartha Brooks. and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
