Alexander James Waldrop, born July 16th, 2004, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away January 8th, 2024 at 19 years old. He was a Cub Scout, then a Boy Scout, then he played altosax for Santa Fe High School's Raider Regiment. He briefly attended Santa Fe College and wanted to join the military.
He worked at Subway since he was 15 and recently began at Circle K.
He loved to travel and play video games late into the night. He was an underground rap connoisseur.
Alexander swam with dolphins, manta rays, and sharks. He loved animals and saved many. He was a loving, kind, gentle, playful and clever critical thinker.
He is survived by his siblings Arthur Swal, Amber Swal, and Nick Waldrop, his mother Stacey Waldrop, his father, James Waldrop, his grandmother Joanne Waldrop, and a large extended family, blood and otherwise. Alexander's funeral will be held on January 19th at 3 p.m. at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetary, followed by a celebration of life at 1005 S.E. 4th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32601.
